The biggest issue with timber fencing is the posts. Even when they are treated and incised to user class 4, sawmills will only offer a 15 year guarantee. The obvious answer has always been to use concrete, steel or composite posts. However, the additional costs and potential difficulties of installing them still leave many people wanting a timber post.
